Working as an intern for Conscience International has been a truly eye-opening experience. I have been exposed to the inner-workings of a community-based non-governmental organization. Through my internship, I learned what it takes to keep a NGO running. I have developed meaningful fundraising and resource-mobilization skills such as grant writing. Furthermore, I was able to affect change through my Gender-based Violence and Peace building training course that I taught in the fishing town of Tanji. The students opened my mind to many new ideas for which I am grateful. Conscience International gave me an experience that I had only dreamed about. As I continue my studies in International Development and Social Inequalities, I will look back at time with Conscience International with great pride and gratitude.
